What is the validity of the Udyam certificate?+

Can a proprietorship or partnership also register under MSME?+
Yes. Any business entity — proprietorship, partnership firm, Pvt Ltd, LLP, OPC, cooperative society, HUF, or trust — that falls within the investment and turnover limits can register under MSME / Udyam.
What are the revised MSME limits after Budget 2025?+
Effective April 1, 2025 — Micro: investment up to ₹2.5 crore & turnover up to ₹10 crore. Small: investment up to ₹25 crore & turnover up to ₹100 crore. Medium: investment up to ₹125 crore & turnover up to ₹500 crore.
Can I update my Udyam registration if my business grows?+
Yes. You can update your registration details on the Udyam portal. If you cross category limits, the classification will automatically update when the portal fetches data from Income Tax and GST databases.
Is GST registration required for Udyam registration?+
For most businesses, GSTIN is required if the enterprise is already mandatorily registered under GST. For those exempt from GST, registration can still be done without GSTIN using a self-declaration basis.
How long does Udyam registration take?+
